Singapore’s football magicians coming to Davao for show, clinics

Urban Street Team (UST) of Singapore, a world-touring group of football artists who performed the
opening number of the 2010 Youth Olympics, will be in Davao this week for a series of campus tours and
clinic.

Bravetower Events Promotions, which is organizing the team’s visit and tour here, confirmed the team’s
arrival on Tuesday via direct flight from Singapore to Davao of Tiger Airways.

“The Urban Street Team is planning in on Tuesday and they will be here for a series of exhibitions and
a clinic. This is a rare opportunity for Davao to experience this group of talented football artists from
Singapore,” said Neil Bravo of Bravetower Events Promotions.

The UST Freestyle Football in Davao is sponsored by Mindanao Travel Channel with the support of Mt.
Apo Highland Resort, Maxima Aquafun Resort, Davao Crocodile Park, Tiger Airways, Green Windows
Dormitel, and Cherifer Vitamins.

The team will play a series of exhibitions against the Davao City-Little Azkals Selection led by youth
standouts Jed Diamante, Javi Romero-Salas and Nina Arrieta. They will also conduct a freestyle football
skills clinic on November 19 at the Davao Crocodile Park for all football enthusiasts aged 16 years and
below. Registration fee is Php100 for every participant.

Urban Street Team is led by Terry Lee and is popular in Singapore for their football wizardry. They have
performed in a world tour dubbed as “Football, Football” in Germany, Africa, and France. It will be the
team’s first visit to the country.

“They are supposed to go elsewhere but we are able to convince them to come,” said Bravo who has
been designated by the team as their official marketing representative in the Philippines.(pr)
