Eckhard Krautzun - German Football expert to start grassroots workshop on Friday

German Football exert, Eckhard Krautzun will start the sessions with coaches from Davao City and other associations in Mindanao on Friday (28 October 2011), 9:00 AM at the Davao City Hall Building training room.  There will be practical sessions with grassroots and youth players together with their coaches.  Warm sessions, drills, organization and planning of training will be observed and discussed.

Aquilino Pastoral III – PFF Grassroots Department; Roland Piñero – PH Azkals assistant coach; Percy Guarin – Grassroots coordinator for Mindanao; and, Eric Pocon – vice chairman of PFF’s Grassroots Committee will join Krautzun. This workshop is organized by the Philippine Football in partnership with the German Football Association and the German Olympic Committee.

9:00 AM – Registration; 1000h Opening Ceremony; 10:30 AM Topic 1 – Scope of Duties of a Youth Coach; 1200 NN Lunch break;1:30 PM Topic 2 – Training of kids and youth players (9 -12 years old) & Topic 6 – Grassroots and Youth Training in various age groups; 3:00 PM  – Practical exercises with the coaches and junior players; 5:00 PM – Summing up / Discussion with coaches.

German football expert to conduct grassroots workshop

The Philippine Football Federation, in cooperation with the Davao Football Association will hold the Grassroots Program Assessment Workshop on 28 – 30 October at the Tionko Football Grounds, Bolton Riverside, Quimpo Blvd. Mr. Eckhard Krautzun of the German Football Association and German Olympic Committee will evaluate the status of the local grassroots program and conduct lectures on youth coaching; training of kids and youth players; grassroots and youth training in various group ages; talent identification; and organization and planning of a training session. He will train coaches to organize festivals and conduct training sessions with elite players.

There will be similar sessions in Cebu City (25 – 27 October); Bacolod City (11 -13 November); Barotac Nuevo (15 – 17 November); and Manila (19 – 21 November).  Mr. Krautzun will be the SEA Games PH Azkals in Jakarta on 01 – 08 November.

Mr. Krautzun coached the Philippine National Men’s football team that placed 4^th in the 1991 SEA Games. This is the highest finish so far the PH men’s team in SEA Games football competitions. He also coached the Tunisian Men’s National team that qualified to the 2002 World Cup and handled the Chinese Olympic Football Team for the Beijing Olympics.
