This event is part of the 74th Araw ng Dabaw celebration and is sponsored by the City Government of Davao headed by Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio and the Sports Development Division under officer-in-charge Pocholo Elegino, in cooperation with the Davao Football Association. The UP Mindanao CWTS class assisted in the organization of the tournament. Tournament commissioner is Mr. Noel Presto.
